This Vehicle Rental Agreement is between Todd Fast Lane LLC (the “Company”), a Florida company, and the person who signs it (the “Renter”). The vehicle, dates, times, and charges are shown on the signature page. By signing, the Renter agrees to the terms below.
1Driver Requirements
- Every driver must be 18 or older with a valid, unexpired driver’s license, and approved by the Company before pick-up.
- Only the Renter may drive unless the Company approves another driver in writing.
- The Renter confirms all information provided is true and will provide any documents the Company or its insurer reasonably requests.
2Insurance
- The Renter must carry personal auto insurance with full coverage (comprehensive and collision) and at least Florida’s minimum liability, active for the entire rental.
- The Renter’s insurance is primary for any accident, damage, theft, or loss. The Renter pays anything insurance does not, including deductibles, repairs, towing, storage, and loss of use, as permitted by law.
- The vehicle will not be released until coverage is verified. Renters without full coverage will be contacted before pick-up.
3Payment, Deposit, and Cancellation
- All charges, including Florida sales tax (7%), the $2.00/day Florida rental car surcharge, delivery ($100 Palm Beach or Broward, $150 Miami-Dade), and any multi-day discount, are shown before payment and must be paid in full before release.
- Pay at pick-up: a $100 reservation payment by Zelle or Cash App is required to hold the vehicle and is applied to the total. The balance is paid by cash, Zelle, or Cash App.
- Security deposit: $1,000 for the Corvette C8, $500 for all other vehicles. It may be applied to unpaid charges, damage, fuel, cleaning, tolls, tickets, and fines. If the vehicle is returned in accordance with this Agreement, with no violations or charges due, the full deposit is released within 24 hours after return and inspection. If deductions apply, the remaining balance is released with an itemized list of the deductions. Card refunds may take several business days to appear, depending on the Renter’s bank. The Renter pays any amount above the deposit.
- Cancellation: full refund if cancelled at least 8 hours before pick-up. No refunds for early returns.
4Mileage and Fuel
- 125 miles per day are included. Additional miles are $1.00 per mile if prepaid at booking, or $2.00 per mile charged after the rental.
- Return the vehicle with the same fuel level as at pick-up, or pay the cost of refueling.
5Prohibited Use
The following are not allowed and may end the rental immediately, with loss of all or part of the deposit as permitted by law:
- Racing, track use, burnouts, drifting, or reckless driving.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or any unlawful use.
- Unauthorized drivers, subleasing, rideshare, delivery, or commercial use.
- Towing, off-road driving, or leaving the approved area without written approval.
- Smoking or vaping of any kind, or pets without approval. Smoke removal and extra cleaning are charged at cost.
- Tampering with the odometer, GPS, tracking devices, or license plates.
6Pick-Up, Return, and Late Fees
- The vehicle’s condition is documented with photos and video at pick-up and return. Its mileage and gas level are recorded in a Vehicle Report emailed to the Renter at pick-up and return, which forms part of this Agreement. Return it in the same condition, except normal wear and tear, with all keys and accessories.
- A $100 late fee applies if the vehicle is returned more than 30 minutes late, unless the delay was beyond the Renter’s control. Additional days may be charged.
- Extensions must be approved in writing before the return time and are charged at the daily rate.
7Tolls and Tickets
The Renter is responsible for all tolls, parking, tickets, and traffic violations during the rental. These are deducted from the deposit, and any received later will be transferred to the Renter’s name.
8Accidents, Damage, and Theft
- Make sure everyone is safe, call the police when required or if the vehicle is stolen, and call Todd Fast Lane immediately at 645-256-2075.
- Take photos and collect the other party’s and witnesses’ information. Do not admit fault for the Company, abandon the vehicle, or arrange repairs without approval.
- The Renter is responsible for damage during the rental and will cooperate with the Company and its insurer, who may receive this Agreement and the Renter’s information for any claim.
9GPS and Vehicle Recovery
Vehicles may have GPS tracking used to locate and recover the vehicle and verify mileage, and the Renter consents to it. The Company may end the rental and lawfully recover the vehicle for unpaid charges, false information, unauthorized use, a serious violation, or failure to return it.
10Legal Terms
- This Agreement is governed by Florida law, with disputes heard in a Florida court of proper jurisdiction.
- This Agreement, the booking confirmation, and the inspection record are the entire agreement. Changes must be in writing. If any part is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Nothing here waives rights that cannot legally be waived.
- The Renter’s electronic signature and initials have the same effect as a handwritten signature.
